IFE Eriksen AG today announced that it is increasing its presence in the state of Brandenburg by opening a new regional office in the city of Prenzlau. This step marks the continuation of an expansion strategy for the Oldenburg-based project management company, which operates in the renewable energy industry and has already established offices in Germany in Berlin and Rostock.

"Thanks to its climate policy objectives, the state of Brandenburg has adopted a leading role in this sector in Germany," explains IFE Eriksen AG’s Management Board member Jakobus Smit. "Prenzlau – as the self-styled 'Renewable Energy City' – also offers an outstanding platform for realising these goals. IFE Eriksen is also a familiar brand for the people of Prenzlau," he continues. "We have completed a large number of wind and solar farms and solar power plants in the city and the region – and our formation of aleo solar AG was a major contribution to urban and regional development. We are proud of our achievements here."

Headed by Andreas Fennert, a former member of the Uckermark-Barnim Regional Planning Organization, the management team will be implementing a range of new projects. Currently, IFE Eriksen AG is working on the completion of a wind farm in the municipality of Passow, which is part of the Amt Oder-Welse union of municipalities. A key milestone for the further progress of the project was set during the official opening ceremony for the new office. In the presence of Walter Henke, Mayor of Passow, the urban development contract was signed by Jakobus Smit and Detlef Krause, Municipal Director of Amt Oder-Welse. This contract confirms the intention of both parties to construct a wind farm in Passow.

"The signing of this contract represents a key step for our Passow project, and we are very pleased that the signing has coincided with the occasion of our official opening ceremony," adds Jakobus Smit.
